HEALTHY STAR GEL is an antibacterial wound gel for the long-lasting treatment of acute and chronic wounds, inflammations, eczema, and much more. It is particularly helpful against thrush and wounds caused by bites or hoof injuries. It hardens to form a protective film.

HEALTHY STAR GEL is a wound gel used directly on acute wounds as well as on more serious injuries that are healing. It provides immediate protection against infections and forms a biomimetic, nature-inspired protective film. It inhibits bleeding, prevents the penetration of further pathogens, and stimulates the body's natural healing process. Wounds treated with HEALTHY STAR GEL heal up to 50% faster than those treated with conventional methods.

HEALTHY STAR GEL is also effective against acute and chronic inflammation, and in particular against eczema, dermatitis, abscesses, fungal infections (especially yeast infections), sunburn, rain scald (also called dermatophilosis, tufailosis, rain rot or streptothricosis), insect and parasite bites/stings, ringworm (dermatophytosis), sweet itch, summer sores, squamous cell carcinoma, staphylococcal skin infections and streptococcal skin infections.

Product structure

HEALTHY STAR GEL, like many other DOCTR® pet care products, is based purely on chitosan biopolymers. It is free of ionic surfactants, silicones, quaternary compounds, preservatives, and fragrances. HEALTHY STAR GEL provides your pet with the most natural care possible – in a purely biomimetic way, mimicking nature.
HEALTHY STAR GEL is hypoallergenic and hypoirritant.
The chitosan biopolymer complex it contains is pH-adaptive, ensuring that HEALTHY STAR GEL adapts to the individual pH environment of each horse's skin, providing the gentlest possible care. The absence of ionic surfactants, silicones, quaternary ammonium compounds (quats), and preservatives means the product is completely irritation-free. HEALTHY STAR GEL is also compatible with mucous membranes and food-safe. Therefore, there are no risks if it comes into contact with mucous membranes or is licked by another animal. To avoid irritating the animal's highly developed and sensitive olfactory system, HEALTHY STAR GEL is also odorless.
HEALTHY STAR GEL also repels insects and parasites. It thus prevents secondary infections and unnecessary irritation of the wound.

Gently clean open or closed wounds with ANTIDIRT PUR using a clean cloth. Apply the foam liberally to the cloth and then rub it onto the wound.
Then apply a generous amount of HEALTHY STAR GEL to a clean/disinfected fingertip and gently apply it to the wound until a drying film forms, covering the wound and simultaneously inhibiting bleeding.
Proceed in the same way with inflamed areas or irritated, diseased skin sections.
Once the injury has healed, any remaining gel can be removed. To loosen hardened gel residue, gently rub it with a cloth or sponge using warm water. Then, apply a generous amount of ANTIDIRT PUR (1-2 pumps) to the cloth or sponge and rub it into the area where the gel residue is. The gel will then swell and can be easily wiped away.
