The "Sensorimotor Countermeasures Study" (SMC), which promises groundbreaking findings for space travel and medicine, was launched on September 23, 2024.
This bed rest study, which is being carried out by DLR and NASA, is investigating how longer space missions affect the health of astronauts and what countermeasures can be developed.
Although HYPOGEN CARE's medical cosmetics for hair and body care and wound prevention are used in this particular study, DOCTR, as a highly innovative brand for hypoallergenic animal care, relies on similar advanced technology. DOCTR also develops products that meet the highest medical requirements and are used particularly in challenging environments such as veterinary medicine.
The SMC study will be carried out at :envihab, the research facility of the DLR Institute of Aerospace Medicine in Cologne, and will last around three months. The findings could also be of long-term interest for the further development of the innovative DOCTR products.
